What the free check includes

The public checker lets you paste a passage and request a document-level estimate without creating an account. It is useful as one input to a writing review. It does not provide an institutional Turnitin report, a verified generator identity or a completed accuracy benchmark. The separate plagiarism checker serves a different task: investigating matching source material.

Input allowance and analysis scope

The form accepts up to 50,000 characters, while the backend forwards only the first 15,000 characters to the external analysis service. These are different limits. If a long document contains later sections, do not describe the displayed result as an assessment of those sections. Choose the passage you want to check and keep the exact version with the report.

For example, if you paste a long article with its references at the end, the references may sit outside the forwarded portion. A detector result about the beginning cannot establish whether those later sources are valid. Open the references separately and check the specific claims they are supposed to support. What to do before submitting a draft

Confirm that you have permission to share the material. The passage is transmitted to an external service for analysis, so a free public form should not be treated as a confidential institutional submission channel. Read the privacy information and avoid uploading restricted student work, confidential client material or unpublished information without the appropriate permission.

Record the reason for the check. A concern about an unsupported citation needs source verification. A concern about authorship needs a discussion of drafting and substantive choices. A concern about an institution's report needs the report name, account role and relevant assignment settings. Those questions cannot all be resolved by the same public estimate.

When a different workflow may be needed

If you need sentence highlights, team review, report exports or a supported classroom integration, compare those requirements explicitly. This site does not establish a public API service or a customer LMS deployment. A product's paid or free status does not by itself establish whether it meets an organisation's data-handling and review requirements.

What does the free checker include?

The inspected form can be used without an account. A free offer describes access, not verified detection quality. The current implementation limits requests by IP address and shortens long inputs before sending them for analysis. The form counter therefore does not describe how much text reaches the model.

The input accepts up to 50,000 characters, while the server forwards the first 15,000 characters to the external model provider. Use a passage within that boundary. Do not describe an estimate on the beginning of a document as a validated assessment of the entire file.

The configuration allows five requests per minute, thirty per hour and one hundred per day for an IP address. These are inspected request controls, not a benchmark result. Shared networks can affect access. No backend limit or advertised price is changed by this copy revision.

Before submitting text

Check permission to upload the document. The service sends text to an external provider, and provider retention has not been verified. Avoid confidential material or personal information unless you are authorised to share it. A public form is not automatically approved for student or client work.

How should the output be used?

Read the passage and its sources. A detector can suggest where to look, but it cannot establish the complete writing process. A teacher or editor should explain any concern and allow the writer to respond through the applicable process.

Another checker gives a separate estimate rather than a prediction of a school report. Repeatedly revising to chase a label does not establish authorship. Improve the argument, attribution and writer's own meaning instead.
